We want you to come worship God together with us. Our worship services are a reverent and dignified offering of the heart in accordance with the teachings of the bible. There will be a comfortable place for you to sit and you can stay for as long as you like. You may have questions about who we are and what we believe and here we want to tell you a little about us so that when you visit you will have an idea of what to expect!

What kind of people are we?

The members of the North Bellingham church of Christ are ordinary people. We are students, former law enforcement, homemakers, volunteers, hair dressers, and computer specialists just to name a few. Some are mature in years, but some of us are younger families with children of all ages. We come from diverse backgrounds. Some have roots in Bellingham while others are “transplants” from all over the United States. In short, we are just ordinary folks and you will fit right in!

Even though we are diverse and perhaps would not otherwise have the same social circles, we come together as a spiritual family. The Christians here are family (Ephesians 2:19-22) and are passionate with helping each other get to heaven. We of course are not perfect, but we are all trying to grow spiritually and be more of what God wants us to be.

God is seeking you to be in His church!

Many people see churches as full-service organizations, sort of like a supermarket where you can get your eyes checked, buy some motor oil and do your banking all at one location. Many churches now offer such diverse services as secular education, financial advice, recreational activities, musical entertainment and other items of social interest.

However, it seems that few people are truly searching for a church that will help them understand the word of God more clearly, to simply enable them to worship reverently and selflessly serve the needs of others rather than being served. The church at North Bellingham seeks to be that kind of church. We are modeled after the teaching of the New Testament and the examples of churches that we can read about in our Bibles were formed in the first century under the guidance of the apostles.

Paul the Apostle writes in Romans 6:23 that the "free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord".
